We pass Bigz all the time, so I am not sure what took us so long to stop by — especially given our love of all things made from ground meat.  We called beforehand to see if we could bring the pups and guess what?  You can (on the patio of course)!  Dog friendly and delicious — what more could you ask for?

We ended up not taking the pups because it was super hot, but the patio is the perfect place to hang with your pups.  Before you can go claim your seat on the patio, you have to go into the barn and order.  The menu on the wall is pretty straightforward and short.  You choose a burger size and then pick your toppings.  We did the single… I added blue cheese and bacon and J had his usual chili and cheddar.  We ordered fries to split and a milkshake each.  When J brought back our burgers, I was shocked by the size!  The single is huge — we could have split a burger and still been full.  Did that stop us from scarfing down the whole burger?  Of course not.

Everything was pretty darn delicious…  What’s better than a juicy burger, fries and milkshakes?  Juicy burgers, fries and milkshakes enjoyed on a great patio.  We’ll be back and next time we’ll bring the pups.

Our rating:
Bigz offers a good burger and a good atmosphere.  We liked it a lot.  As far as burgers go, we like it as much as Chester’s, way better than Longhorn, and J likes it better than Chris Madrid’s (although CM will always hold a special place in his heart.)

For value, we’d give it an 8.0.  Not many places you can get a big burger like that for $5. As a note, this is a counter service place.  We gave service an 8.0 because the counter staff was really nice and the bussers were highly efficient.
